I am a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences at Yale School of Public Health, working with Dr. Yusuf Ransome. I hold an M.D. from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and both an M.P.H. and Ph.D. in Population Health Sciences (Social & Behavioral Sciences) from Harvard University, where I was advised by Dr. Ichiro Kawachi.

My research sits at the intersection of social epidemiology and psychiatry. I use large-scale longitudinal datasets, mixed methods, and advanced quantitative approaches to understand how social factors — particularly social connectedness, social participation, and caregiving — shape mental health and cognitive outcomes across the life course. My current work focuses on how social connectedness influences psychological distress among mid-aged and older Black Americans.

I am also an aspiring psychiatrist with a deep interest in addiction, aging, and integrated clinical–research approaches. I am an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry.
